Is It a Crush or Love?
You think about them all the time. Something happens in your stomach when they walk into the cafeteria. You've also talked to them maybe four times, and you can't tell whether this is love or just a really loud crush.
This quiz asks thirteen questions about your side of it: how well you actually know them, how you feel on their bad days, whether it hit all at once or grew slowly, what's really in your daydreams, and whether you'd want them happy even if it wasn't with you.
It takes about three minutes and nothing is saved. There are no silly feelings here. A crush is real at any size. The result tells you how deep this one probably goes and what to do with it.
Questions people ask
How accurate is this quiz?
As accurate as your answers, and no more. The quiz looks for patterns, like how well you know them, how long it's lasted and what you daydream about. It can't read your heart, and feelings shift as you get to know someone. Nobody can tell you for sure what you feel, and that includes a quiz. Time, and actually getting to know them, is the only reliable test.
What's the difference between a crush and love?
A crush is mostly attraction plus imagination: you like what you see and fill in the rest. Love usually grows out of knowing someone, including their bad days and annoying habits, and wanting good things for them even when it has nothing to do with you. Neither one is fake. Plenty of love starts as a crush, and plenty of crushes are fun sparks that fade on their own.
Can you really be in love as a teenager?
Your feelings are real at any age, and they can be every bit as strong as an adult's. Whether it's love depends less on age than on how well you know the person and how you treat each other. What nobody can promise, at any age, is how long it lasts. That's not a reason to take it less seriously. It's a reason to be kind with it.
I got “The Daydream Version.” Does that mean my feelings are fake?
No. It means the feeling is real, but it's attached more to the person you've imagined than to the one you know. That happens to almost everyone. The way through is to get to know them in ordinary, everyday ways. Either the real person turns out to be someone you like, or the feeling fades on its own, and both of those are fine.
What if I want to know whether they like me back?
That's a different question, and it's about their signals rather than your feelings. Our signal quizzes, Does She Like Me? and Does He Like Me?, look at what they actually do. Like this one, they don't ask for a sign-up or anyone's name. And no quiz can replace asking, kindly and privately, and accepting whatever they say.
