Questions people ask

What do the extra 64 questions buy me?

Confidence on the close calls, mostly. Each of the four pairs is decided by a pattern across many answers rather than a couple of them, so a preference sitting near the middle is less likely to be an accident. The report also goes further: a percentage split on each pair, and a closing read on how settled those four preferences currently look.

Is this the official MBTI test?

It is not. The Myers-Briggs Company publishes the official MBTI® instrument, and certified practitioners administer and interpret it, usually with a conversation afterwards. What you have here is an independent questionnaire, free and with no sign-up, using the same four preference pairs; it reports how your answers fell rather than issuing a certified type.

Do I have to finish it in one sitting?

It does not have to be one. Progress is saved in this browser after every answer, so 88 questions can be split over a break or a day and the next visit starts on the question you stopped at. Budget about 15 minutes if you do want it in one go. The answers stay on your device and there is no email to hand over.

What if this gives me a different type from the quick test?

Look at which letter moved. A pair that came out close to even in either run is the one to hold loosely; a pair that was lopsided both times is the more solid finding. Time of day, a hard week, or simply reading a question differently is enough to flip a borderline letter, and neither result is a verdict on you.
