Should I Tell My Crush?

3 min 13 questions 4 possible results New

You've typed the text four times. You've pictured saying it at their locker, then pictured their face, then deleted the whole thing. Your friends say just do it. Your stomach says absolutely not.

This quiz asks thirteen questions about your situation, not your feelings: how well you actually know them, whether they're dating someone, what signals you've seen, how you'd handle a no, and why you want to say it now. Then it tells you whether to wait, get closer first, test the waters, or tell them.

It takes about three minutes and nothing is saved. It can't promise how they feel. It can help you pick a next step that's kind to you and to them.

Questions people ask

How accurate is this quiz?

As accurate as your answers, and it can't read minds. The quiz weighs your situation: how well you know them, whether they're dating someone, what you've noticed, how you'd handle a no. That tells you whether the timing looks good. It can't tell you how they feel. The only sure way to know that is to ask, kindly and in private, when you're ready for either answer.

What's the best way to tell my crush I like them?

Privately and simply. Pick a calm moment when it's just the two of you, or a text if saying it in person is too much, and keep it to a couple of sentences: “I like you, more than as a friend. No pressure, I just wanted you to know.” Don't do it in front of a group or in a public post, don't send a friend to say it for you, and never make it a dare or a joke. Then let them answer, and accept whatever they say.

What if my crush is already dating someone?

Then this isn't the time. Be a normal, friendly person around them, and don't try to break them up or hang around waiting for it to end. If they're single later and you still feel the same, you can think about it again then. A lot of the time the feeling fades on its own once you stop waiting.

What if they say no?

Say “okay, thanks for being honest,” and mean it. Don't argue, don't ask again next week, and don't get their friends to change their mind. It's normal to feel awful for a while, and it's fine to give yourself some space before things go back to normal. A no is about how they feel. It is not a verdict on your worth.

How do I know if my crush likes me back?

This quiz is about whether you should say something, not about what they feel. If you want to read their signals first, our Does She Like Me? and Does He Like Me? quizzes look at what they actually do, like how they text back and where they sit, and Am I in the Friend Zone? covers the friendship side. Signals help, but asking is still the only way to know for sure.
