What Dog Breed Are You
Sixteen breeds, four axes, twenty-eight forced choices. Golden retriever energy is a real thing — this tells you whether you have it.
The rarest of the sixteen. Reads people quickly, tells them almost none of it.
You form a detailed read on a person or a situation early, usually correctly, and then you keep it almost entirely to yourself. You are working toward something that other people find hard to see, on a timescale they find hard to believe, and you would rather be quietly effective than visibly busy. People tend to tell you a lot, quickly, because you listen in a way that makes it easy, and you rarely reciprocate at the same depth.
The problem is asymmetry. You know a great deal about the people around you and they know very little about you, and you experience that as intimacy while they experience it as being kept at a distance. Because you rarely voice a concern early, the first version anyone hears is the fully-formed conclusion, which sounds like a verdict rather than an opening. And when your read of a relationship turns, you tend to withdraw completely rather than negotiate — which is efficient, and which has probably ended something that could have been repaired.
