Am I in the Friend Zone?
Thirteen questions about how your friend actually acts around you, and an honest read on whether this is friendship or something more.
There isn't much to read yet, mostly because the two of you haven't had much chance to create any signals.

Signal strength — Low, mostly because there isn't much to go on yet
What's probably going on — Right now she treats you about the way she treats anyone she doesn't know well: polite, normal, nothing extra. That isn't a no. It usually means the two of you haven't talked enough for anything to show up in either direction. Liking someone tends to grow out of real conversations, and from your answers, there haven't been many yet. You're trying to read a page nobody has written.
Signs pointing yes
· She's friendly when you do talk, even if it's short
· She answers your texts, even if she doesn't keep them going
· She knows who you are and says hi back
· Nothing she does says she wants you to go away
Signs pointing the other way
· She rarely starts a conversation or a text
· Her replies are short and end the thread
· She doesn't seem to notice when you're around or when you're gone
· She's mentioned liking someone else, or makes plans that never include you
What to do next — Have a few ordinary conversations first. Ask about something you already share, like the class you're in or a show she mentioned, and see whether she keeps talking.
What not to do — Don't skip straight to a big confession to someone who barely knows you. And if you do ask and she says no, respect her answer and don't keep pushing.
One line for you — You can't read signals that haven't been sent yet, and a no, if it ever comes, is not a verdict on your worth.
